*IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since the
Vedic system of education is without charge, all student-residents
shall automatically be placed in RVC's work-study system in
lieu of paying $2,100. If any student wishes to make an offering
of funds to the RVC, it will be graciously accepted as a tax-deductible
voluntary contribution.
The
Work-Study System
In
lieu of paying for tuition, food and accommodation fees, the
RVC work-study or more appropriately, serve-study system enables
students to gain work experience and perform devotional service
at the RVC campus while continuing their Vedic studies. Supplying
additional hands helps keep the RVC functioning smoothly.
A student performs devotional service supplementing his Vedic
college course-work and is spared the concern of worrying
about how to cover expenses. One who applies himself to both
the service and the study may receive his education without
expenditure.
For
most RVC students the normal service period is a three hour
period from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and a two and a half-hour
period from 2:30 PM to 5 PM daily. AVC students usually perform
service from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM daily and occasionally also
from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
